For hip-hop fans, Jay-Z’s headlining performance at Roots Picnic 2026 was one of the most anticipated festival moments of the year.
Backed by The Roots, Jay-Z delivered a career-spanning set that included classics, fan favorites, and appearances from several special guests. The performance also served as part of the celebration surrounding the 30th anniversary of his landmark debut album, Reasonable Doubt.
The Philadelphia crowd witnessed more than 90 minutes of music as Jay-Z moved through hits from across his catalog while paying tribute to the city and his long-standing relationship with The Roots. Special guests throughout the night included Meek Mill, Bilal, Jazmine Sullivan, Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Memphis Bleek, and other members of the Roc-A-Fella family.
