May 17, 2026 By Anthony Washington

Still figuring out your weekend plans? Maryland is packed with festivals this weekend, whether you’re into live music, art, craft beer, bluegrass, Caribbean vibes, or full-on metal chaos. From thousands of people taking over the streets of Baltimore for Artscape to one of the biggest extreme metal festivals in the country at Maryland Deathfest, there’s honestly something happening for every type of crowd.

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to get out of the house, explore Maryland, support local artists and vendors, or just experience something different, this is your sign. Tag your crew, make your plans, and share this with someone who’s always asking “what’s there to do this weekend?”

ABOUT

Ever since I borrowed a camera from a friend of mine eight years ago, I have loved sharing what I see through the lens of my camera with the world. There is nothing better than making somebody feel like they were right there with you. A brief moment in time, by way of photography, can say so much. I hope that these brief moments in time point people in the direction of someplace, something, or someone that they may not be aware of, and that they are curious enough to go see for themselves.
