Experience the Bourbon & Bluegrass Festival in DC

May 2, 2026 By Anthony Washington

Bourbon Bluegrass

Spring in DC starts to pick up, and one of the more unique events on the calendar is the Bourbon & Bluegrass Festival happening May 2–3, 2026, at President Lincoln’s Cottage. Set on the historic grounds just off Rock Creek Church Road, the weekend brings together a solid mix of bluegrass and folk talent, with Alison Brown headlining both days. Saturday’s lineup also features Jake Blount and Split String Soup, while Sunday keeps things going with Hubby Jenkins and Goldbug Revival. It’s a laid-back setup—live music, good atmosphere, and a chance to take in a DC landmark that doesn’t always get this kind of spotlight.

ABOUT

Ever since I borrowed a camera from a friend of mine eight years ago, I have loved sharing what I see through the lens of my camera with the world. There is nothing better than making somebody feel like they were right there with you. A brief moment in time, by way of photography, can say so much. I hope that these brief moments in time point people in the direction of someplace, something, or someone that they may not be aware of, and that they are curious enough to go see for themselves.
