Preakness InfieldFest has its root based in the hard working men and women of Baltimore. It’s come a long way from many of our parents and grandparents rolling their coolers full of their favorite beverages into the infield of the Preakness each year for one of the biggest and wildest parties America has ever seen.
Today, InfieldFest is a music festival that draws some of the best music acts in the world to perform while one of racing’s crown jewels takes place literally around it. The date of this years Preakness and Infieldfest is May 16, 2020. The festival lineup includes: Marshmello, DaBaby, Quinn XCII, Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal), Two Friends, DJ Pauly D, and Gattuso.
The Scene
All tickets for Infieldfest are general admission. Gates for the festival open at 9am rain or shine, and one warning flag for everyone. Infieldfest is a Zero tolerance festival. Do not bring any illegal drugs or substances to the festival because if you get caught you will be doing to jail. You do not want to go to central booking in Baltimore. In addition, don’t show up to the festival wasted, security will not allow you to enter the festival site.
Now that we got that out of the way, Infieldfest does have some options when it comes to add-on’s to your general admission ticket for you to get your drink on once you are IN THE FESTIVAL (see what I did there). Here are the available options directly from the festival website:
MUG CLUB:
Ages 21+ only. Grants an upgraded experience to the InfieldFest General Admission ticket, with access to all InfieldFest party areas, featuring exclusive MUG Club stations where all beer is included. Ticket includes bottomless pour and souvenir mug for beer. No building access permitted. MUG Club tickets will be exchanged for a wristband on-site. In order to receive a mug, MUG Club ticket must be presented along with valid photo ID. One ticket per person. One person may not present several tickets and receive corresponding mugs. Only official Preakness-issued souvenir MUG Club cup will be accepting at filling stations. Mug will not be replaced if lost or stolen. All beverage brands are subject to change. Based on consumption some brands may not be available throughout the day.
MUG & VINE CLUB:
Ages 21+ only. Grants an upgraded experience to the InfieldFest General Admission ticket, with access to all InfieldFest party areas, featuring exclusive MUG Club stations where all beer and wine is included. Ticket includes bottomless pour and souvenir mug for beer and wine. No building access permitted. MUG & Vine tickets will be exchanged for a wristband on-site. COMFORT VIP:
Grants an upgraded experience to the InfieldFest General Admission ticket, providing exclusive VIP no-wait entryways, private cash bars, access to premium standing-room viewing areas, and executive restrooms. No building access permitted.
