As she stepped on to the stage at the Fillmore Silver Spring, Sabrina Claudio was greeted by a sold out crowd with screams, cheers, and numerous smarthphones held high to capture her first words of the night before she got into her one-hour and fifteen minute set. The Miami native’s current tour is in support of her latest project No Rain, No Flowers which is her fourth project in less than two years.

Sabrina Claudio’s rise in the world of R&B music has been a quick one. The singer and songwriter released several covers and original songs on Soundcloud in 2016. Some of these songs would make their way on to her first EP Confidently Lost in March of 2017.

One word that I can think of to describe Sabrina Claudio’s lyrics, and the music that accompanies it, is sensual. Her first song of the night, Come Here, is a prime example of how sensual her music is. As she began singing, “I’m dying to see you, You know what I’m fiending for, The only one to get to me, Only one to get this close”, the contrast of the bright lights and harsh shadows that covered the stage accompanied the song perfectly and added to the sensual mood that was being set. This perfect combination of voice, instrumentation, and lighting would continue throughout the night as Claudio commanded the stage, talked to her fans about the stories behind some of her songs, and performed a fourteen song one-hour and fifteen minute set that was one of the best I have seen this year.

Check out the photo highlights of the show so you can see for yourself. The set list for the night follows too.

ABOUT

Ever since I borrowed a camera from a friend of mine eight years ago, I have loved sharing what I see through the lens of my camera with the world. There is nothing better than making somebody feel like they were right there with you. A brief moment in time, by way of photography, can say so much. I hope that these brief moments in time point people in the direction of someplace, something, or someone that they may not be aware of, and that they are curious enough to go see for themselves.
