Tyler, The Creator made a stop at Rams Head Live on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. This stop in Baltimore was part of a 73-city 15-country tour that Tyler, The Creator started in Arizona in early April and will continue until late September. The tour is in support of his most recent album “Cherry Bomb” which was released on April 9, 2015. Future tour dates can be found at golfwang.com/tour.

Whenever you go to a Tyler, The Creator show, or an Odd Future show, the first thing you will notice is the diversity of the audience. Not only when it comes to race, but age too. As I headed into Rams Head Live on Wednesday, June 10, I saw high school students with their friends and those in their late 20’s and early 30’s enjoying drinks at the bar. Also, I was not surprised to see some parents in attendance with their young teenage children. I noticed the same thing back in 2012 when I photographed Odd Future’s performance at Rams Head Live.

Those parents were the first people I thought of as Tyler, the Creator took the stage, after a set by his DJ Taco, and launched into the first song of the night “Bitch Suck Dick”.

Joining Tyler, The Creator on stage for the night was his hype-man, and Odd Future member, Jasper the Dolphin.

Following “Bitch Suck Dick”, Tyler The Creator then launched into “Sam (Is Dead)”, “Deathcamp”, “Bimmer”, “Run”, and Jamba” with the same high energy and audience interaction he is known for bringing to all of his shows.

With the introduction of Cherry Bomb, the title track to his latest album of the same name, Tyler The Creator began performing a number of tracks from the album mixed with tracks from earlier album releases. Next up on the set-list was Smuckers, Pilot, IFHY, Domo23, Fucking Young, Yonkers, and The Brown Stains Of Darkeese Latifah Part 6-12 (Remix).

The final part of the set-list for the night included 48, Rella, She, Oldie, Tamale, & Keep Da O’s. If you have never seen a Tyler, The Creator show, schedule to do so. His show is high energy, fun, and engaging. What more can you ask for? Future tour dates can be found here.

ABOUT

Ever since I borrowed a camera from a friend of mine eight years ago, I have loved sharing what I see through the lens of my camera with the world. There is nothing better than making somebody feel like they were right there with you. A brief moment in time, by way of photography, can say so much. I hope that these brief moments in time point people in the direction of someplace, something, or someone that they may not be aware of, and that they are curious enough to go see for themselves.
