On May 20, 2003, Dwele released his debut studio album Subject. The album was highly anticipated following Dwele’s very popular self-released demo Rize, which created a buzz for him in the music industry, and his featured performance on Slum Village’s song “Tainted” off of the groups 2002 album Trinity (Past, Present and Future).

Four albums later, Subject is now ten years old.

On Friday, March 14 at the Baltimore Soundstage, the 10 Year Anniversary Concert for Subject was held before a full house. The Detroit native and his band treated the audience to a superb set which included fan favorites such as “Truth”, A.N.G.E.L. (Interlude), “Hold On”, “Sho Ya Right” and, “Find a Way” to name a few.

ABOUT

Ever since I borrowed a camera from a friend of mine eight years ago, I have loved sharing what I see through the lens of my camera with the world. There is nothing better than making somebody feel like they were right there with you. A brief moment in time, by way of photography, can say so much. I hope that these brief moments in time point people in the direction of someplace, something, or someone that they may not be aware of, and that they are curious enough to go see for themselves.
