On Wednesday, February 26, WAMU 88.5 held a D.C. Democratic Mayoral Candidate Debate at their new media center located at 4401 Connecticut Avenue. The eight democratic mayoral candidates: Mayor Vincent Gray; Council member of Ward 4 Muriel Bowser; Council member of Ward 6 Tommy Wells; Council member At-Large Vincent Orange; Council member of Ward 2 Jack Evans; Reta Jo Lewis; Carlos Allen; and Andy Shallal were all in attendance.
The debate was a two-hour live broadcast moderated by Kojo Nnamdi, host of The Kojo Nnamdi Show, and questions were asked by a panel of reporters. On the panel were, WAMU 88.5 education reporter Kavitha Cardoza, NBC4 reporter Tom Sherwood, and WAMU 88.5 D.C. Reporter Patrick Madden.
