Dwele at Baltimore Soundstage

Dwele first got his big break when he was asked to sing the hook on Slum Village’s hit single “Tainted” in 2002, which was produced by drummer Kareem Riggins. The opportunity he was given provided a lot of exposure for Dwele and the popular demo that he produced in his bedroom titled “Rize”. The opportunity he received also helped lead him to getting his first record deal. Since then, the talented soul singer and piano player has released five albums, and he has worked with the late great J-Dilla, Kanye West, Raphael Saddiq, and En Vogue’s Dawn Robinson, to name a few. On Friday, March 14, Dwele will celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut album Subject at the Baltimore Soundstage.

Cher at the Verizon Center

If there is an artist that knows about touring successfully, it is Cher. According to a recent press release, her most recent tour “Never Can Say Goodbye Tour” was seen by over 5.5 million people and played for a record 325 dates. Cher will kick off a 49-City North American tour on March 22, 2014 in Phoenix, AZ in support of her newest album “Closer to the Truth”. The “Dressed To Kill Tour” will make a stop at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC on Friday, April 4. Tickets are on sale now.

Nicole Atkins at the Rock & Roll Hotel

Nicole Atkins third album, Slow Phaser, will be released on February 4th. A little over a week later on February 13, the singer-songwriter and New Jersey native will kick off a tour in support of Slow Phaser at The Bowery Ballroom in New York city. You can mark your calendar for Friday, April 25, 2014 when Atkins will take the stage at the Rock & Roll Hotel.
