Neon Hitch performs at Rams Head Live on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 in Baltimore, MD.

Neon Hitch’s
stop in Baltimore came as a part of Hot Chelle Rae’s current tour. The British born singer dropped a new single on the same day of her performance, “Gold”. The track was co-written by Bruno Mars and features a verse by Tyga.

Currently signed to Warner Bros. Records, Neon Hitch has a very unique background. Much of her youth was spent traveling around Europe with her family performing with the circus, therefore, she never attended school. Neon, which is her real name, performed as a trapeze artist and a street performer. The BBC actually included her in a documentary when she was 11 years old.

Her big break in the music industry came after Ted Skinner and Mike Mayhem’s The Beat record label folded, which she was signed to. Like many artist, Neon had a Myspace page up at the time and go to producer Benny Blanco happened to see her page. This lead to a working relationship and eventually a deal with Warner Bros. Records.

Neon’s upcoming debut album Beg, Borrow, and Steal is being produced by Benny Blanco. A release date has not been set yet. More information about Neon Hitch can be found at her website http://www.neonhitch.net/.

ABOUT

Ever since I borrowed a camera from a friend of mine eight years ago, I have loved sharing what I see through the lens of my camera with the world. There is nothing better than making somebody feel like they were right there with you. A brief moment in time, by way of photography, can say so much. I hope that these brief moments in time point people in the direction of someplace, something, or someone that they may not be aware of, and that they are curious enough to go see for themselves.
