Participants take part in the Womens Pro 20 Mile cycling race during BikeJam 10 at Patterson Park in Baltimore, MD on Sunday, May 23, 2010.

BikeJam is a day long annual cycling festival that takes place at Patterson Park in Baltimore, MD. In addition to the races for professional riders from around the United States and the world, there are also races for local participants of all levels and ages.

The festival also includes live music from local bands, BMX stunt riders, food from various vendors, and kid’s bike safety clinics.

Ever since I borrowed a camera from a friend of mine eight years ago, I have loved sharing what I see through the lens of my camera with the world. There is nothing better than making somebody feel like they were right there with you. A brief moment in time, by way of photography, can say so much. I hope that these brief moments in time point people in the direction of someplace, something, or someone that they may not be aware of, and that they are curious enough to go see for themselves.
