First Franklin Presbyterian Church

July 8, 2009 By Anthony Washington

Hundreds of ribbons hang on the side of the First and Franklin Presbyterian Church in mid-town Baltimore, MD. The ribbons are the churches way of encouraging peace and reconciliation in the Baltimore community, the United States, and through out the world by way of prayer. The blue ribbons represent prayers for peace and reconciliation, green ribbons represent prayers for the Iraqi people, and gold ribbons represent prayers for U. S. Service Personnel, and those of other countries, who have lost their lives.

The call for peace and reconciliation, and the hanging of the ribbons, began on Sunday, May 27, 2007 and continues today.

ABOUT

Ever since I borrowed a camera from a friend of mine eight years ago, I have loved sharing what I see through the lens of my camera with the world. There is nothing better than making somebody feel like they were right there with you. A brief moment in time, by way of photography, can say so much. I hope that these brief moments in time point people in the direction of someplace, something, or someone that they may not be aware of, and that they are curious enough to go see for themselves.
